WHO WE ARE

Arbor is a centre of learning that supports women of all ages to grow in the values and skills to lead a fulfilled, purposeful life.

 

Arbor is a home and a family for our residents and for all who take part in our cultural, academic/professional, spiritual and social activities. It is a place where students, women and girls find support, not only to recognise and reach their own potential, but also to make a positive influence in their families and communities.

 

Established in 1999 by Komati Foundation on a property in Johannesburg, Arbor is now located in Brooklyn, less than 1km from the University of Pretoria, and is a project of Etsoseng Foundation in partnership with Komati.

 

We aim to create an enabling environment for females of all ages to develop in an integral way, becoming successful, happy and service-oriented in all aspects of their lives. We believe that by encouraging a deep commitment to both personal and social development, we can contribute to real change in our country.

 

Arbor is open to all women, from every sector of society, regardless of belief system, culture or race. We are inspired by the Christian understanding of the dignity of each person and love and respect for their personal freedom. Here students, women and girls have the opportunity to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and to form genuine friendships, that will provide the mutual support for them to be women of conviction and integrity who know the joy of serving and empowering others.
